Trail
of Tears Ride
We had a good turnout considering the weather. We had 16 folks in all on 9 bikes and 1 Trike make the scene. We left in a light mist, the roads were wet most of the way and fortunately we were behind the heavier rain, however our good luck ran out at the
Tennessee-Alabama State line. We put on our rain suits and decided it was best to make a 180 and head back to the Catfish Hotel on the Tennessee River for lunch thus canceling our 2008 Trail of Tears ride. We ran out of the rain in a few miles, had a good meal and made it home without any problems.
It was a good ride in spite of the weather and we all enjoyed the fellowship and camaraderie even though we didn't get to sample our picnic goodies.

This ride was rained out earlier this year but Mama Nature paid us back in spades. The day began with a dreary look but the forecasters swore we would have a good weekend and this time they may have erred in the wrong direction. It wasn't a good day. It was a fantastic day. The perfect temperature is supposedly seventy two degrees. We were off by only a couple degrees and that combined with low humidity, incredible roads and great company made this ride as near perfect as you can get...
Roll Call: We had eight motorcycles and eleven souls on this ride.
