Trails End Minutes by Stan Viets
Members attended the November meeting, our last for the year 2004, were Floyd Nunnelee, Rusty Higgins, Barry and Sharon Englander, Hubert Gross, Charles Gibson, Mike Hopper, Brenda Hamilton, Buck and Donna Permenter, Dan Randall, Billy Max, Tad and Cindy Beers, Tim Hendrickson, Mary Carole Scott and yours truly. We started the meeting with a moment of silent prayer in observance of November 11th, Veterans Day in remembrance of all the men and women serving in our present and past Armed Forces.
We want to extend a MTR welcome to our visitors Doug and Kim Pauley they unfortunately went to the wrong Shoney's and missed the meeting but got there as we adjourned. Y'all come back.
The November issue of Happy Trails was the first from our new Editor and Publisher, Dan Randall. The consensus of the folks attending the meeting was that he did a great job. As you noted the issue is now in color, Dan is using his personal printer and paper to publish and mail the newsletter, MTR will replenish the cartridges and paper as necessary. Well done, thanks Dan. We had 3 Birthdays in November, Eddie Garner on the 5th, Linda Randall on the 9th and Floyd Nunnelee on the 16th There was I Anniversary this month, Myron and Beverly Coney on the 20th, congratulations.
I passed around a list of current members printed off the web page, to check and make note of any changes needed on your name, BD and Anniversaries, there were several changes and they am now reflected on the web page. In event you haven't checked your personal information yet, please do and let me know it' not correct.
We have a current bank balance of $1,375.54
Ongoing business:
Our tentative plain to consider moving our meeting location to the new Fox Ridge Pizza at Germantown Parkway and Dexter are temporarily on hold until after the first of the year.
Please continue to send your current news or articles, stories etc. to Dan Randall and get involved.
Please continue our prayers for William Jones and Floyd's daughter, Sue George
We had our last ride of the yew to the November 6th-Veteran's Day Thunder IV at Bally's Casino, Tunica, MS. It appeared to be a big success, approx 1000 bikes at Bumpus Harley enjoying the pancake/sausage breakfast We had a good turnout out for the ride, 16 members and guests (Doug and Kim Pauley) on a good-looking BMW they found about our ride on the MTR web page, came to Shoney's and joined us. We fortunately averted a major dilemma, Billy's GPS quit working and he had to plan a route the old fashion way, it was touch & go for a while but we made it Additionally our members Dick and Fran rode in the Parade of Honor from Bumpus to Bally's; as well as "Loco" Soc and Deanna Kilpatrick, the event coordinator who were thrilled to
pass on e-mail information received from Kim Lubstorf with Bally's, announcing "VDT IV was able to raise (((drum roll please))) $12,200.00 for the Armed Forces Museum at Camp Shelby." (Unofficial bike count = 1014.... "Loco") the money raised this year will help the museum to expand and improve their displays thereby preserving the heritage of our Veterans. A big MTR thanks to all.

New business:
David Elston asked if MTR wanted to consider donating to a Delaware Co. Operation AC, Inc. that is purchasing things like air conditioners, heaters, etc to send to our Troop in Iraq. This idea was shelved however we will come up with something else to show our appreciation and thanks to our Service Men and Women.
Reminder, in lieu of our regular December meeting our Christmas party will be on Saturday December 11th, at the TBCH Boys Ranch in Millington. Dan reported the Ranch is planning to builds recreation building, partly under cover and will need Street Hockey equipment. We discussed and decided MTR would buy goals, pucks and Hockey sticks as our annual gift to the Boys at the Ranch this year. We will allot approx. $500.00 for these items. Dan has made arrangements far the main fare hot-dogs; hamburger's and chicken along with condiments. Our Chef; Tim Hendrickson has volunteered to do the cooking again. MTR will furnish the potato salad, coleslaw and veggie tray. We will rely on an c-snail communication requesting potluck for desserts. If you are able to attend the Christmas party and we hope you arc, please bring your dessert specialty.
