Puckett's Grocery Ride

De-Brief - by: Danny Parker

Once again, you just couldn’t have custom ordered a more beautiful day to ride. It started out a bit on the cool side with temps in the low sixties and they eventually worked their way up to the mid eighties later in the afternoon.

We all met up at the Kroger on Highway 64 about 8:00am and departed at 8:30am sharp. Our route took us over on Highways 64/100/412 and the Natchez Trace to Leiper’s Fork, TN. We arrived at 12:30pm and were all lucky enough to find a table and proceed to feast on a variety of sandwiches and BBQ at Puckett’s Grocery. That little place sure is popular. It was packed with people from every walk of life including many motorcyclists. After we all finished eating and were heading out the door, who should we run into but Charlie and Darnell Gibson who missed riding up with us earlier due to a doctor’s appointment. Charlie told us about some amazing roads he took coming up to meet with us so we all decided to wait for him and Darnell to finish their lunch so they could show us the route home rather than take the Interstate as we had originally planned. Everyone was glad we did. What a beautiful ride. Thanks, Charlie! We arrived home safe and sound around 6:30pm.
