Bozo's Ride De-Brief
Well, it was hot and kinda' muggy out at the Kroger store on Highway 70 for the kickoff of the Bozo's Bar-B-Q ride...But despite this, we had a great turnout...Twelve bikes and one Mustang Convertible hauling 20 souls. Not bad for an itty bitty little dinner ride...
We rolled out of the Kroger parking lot at 5:30 PM on the dot. It was your typical southern ride on your typical southern summer evening...Nice...
As we approached the speed trap known as Galloway we spotted blue lights ahead. Lotsa' blue lights on both sides of the roadway. Of course we had slowed to five MPH below the posted speed limit a mile before entering Galloway so we were OK...We've been through this burg before. The roadblock turned out to be a seatbelt check...As I cruised by one of the six officers smiled and jokingly informed me to buckle my seat belt. We made it through but Myron and Bev, in their Mustang got stopped and checked out. They avoided jail somehow and we were all soon back together again.
Had a great time at Bozo's. Terry Taylor had arrived earlier, informed the staff at Bozo's that a we were on the way and when we arrived they were ready for us. Thanks Terry...
I hate to say this, but Bozo has changed hands, about three months ago...And the Bar-B-Q for the first time in my life, was second rate at best...They better improve or Bozo's will be on the endangered species list. What a shame that would be. You can't stay in business with sorry Bar-B-Q in the south...Good Bar-B-Q is everywhere and folks will just migrate to another restaurant...But I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and maybe they'll get it right when they get settled in good.
After dinner I kinda' left in a hurry and run off from the bunch.... Guess I wasn't thinking...Three bikes had already left and after making a wobbly U-turn from the parking lot I gassed on it and the next thing I knew I was riding all by myself...Buck was the only one who caught me when I slowed. My apologies to the crew. It wasn't intentional and I'll try and not let it happen again...
Thanks to all who joined in, members and guests alike..It was a pleasant ride...No hits, No flats, no errors...Great job all. It's a pleasure to ride with you. I sincerely mean that. A pleasure.
